About Tick, a Yerevan events calendar
What is on in Yerevan and across Armenia, with the source and the date we last checked on every entry.
What this is
Tick covers Yerevan and Armenia — concert halls and theatres, festivals and exhibitions, and whatever opens or changes in the city. What is on, what has changed, and when. Every page is published in English and in Armenian.
The rules
-
Every fact names its source and the day we last looked
Not “constantly updated”. A source and a date, right there in the entry, so one can see how fresh the thing one is reading actually is.
-
No event without a confirmed date
Dates come from the organisers and the box offices, not from somebody else's calendar. What we could not confirm waits until we can.
-
What is on, not what went wrong
This site covers what is happening, what is opening and what has changed for the better. No politics, no crime, no tragedy and no quarrels — those belong to a paper that can follow the story.
-
We choose, and say why
A calendar earns its place by what it leaves out. Picking out the best of something is the job, not a compromise; running down a named venue is not what this site is for.
-
A page appears when there is something to put on it
No empty sections waiting for content, and no directory padded to look full. A section appears the moment there is something in it.
